Reviews
"Robert Werner’s field guide offers identifications keys, general life
history, and distribution information on the freshwater fishes of New
England and New York. As noted in the preface, most field guides on
fishes of particular states from this region are out of print. Also,
fauna differ significantly among the states of this region. Thus, this
regional field guide serves the scientist, student, or lay person
whose needs go beyond state boundaries...An easy-to-use identification
field guide that provided interesting information and fine
illustrations. It should be quite useful to those seeking information
on the freshwater fishes of the northeastern region."
